COVID19 Policy
Unfortunately we are now living in a world with COVID 19 and we are having to find a way to move forward and live with it, as it is not going to go away for the foreseeable future. Therefore we need to stay alert and help prevent the spread of the disease. To do this Learn2Drive No Gears have put measures in place to reduce the risk to both you and myself.
Learn2Drive No Gears COVID 19 policy is to create a safe hygienic learning environment based on the government business COVID19 guidance.

General Hygiene for students and Instructor
You must sanitise your hands before entering the vehicle.

-
I will provide hand sanitiser or you can bring your own especially if you have allergies.
-
If you cough or sneeze into your hand we will pull over when it is safe to do so and sanitise your hands and controls.
-
To avoid this - always try to cough or sneeze into your sleeve, If you use a tissue put it in your pocket to discard it. If you feel it coming and its best to pull in and stop that’s is ok so long as it is done safely and in a legal manner.
-
Try to clear your throat with your mouth closed.

I would prefer you to wear a face covering when in the vehicle however I do understand there is a potential issue with glasses steaming up if you wear them. You will also have to wear a face covering on the driving test so it might be a good idea to get used wearing it now.
I do have a small supply @ £3 each if necessary
I might choose not wear a face covering because it is import my instructions are clear for safety reasons.

-
Students must provide their own face cover and be responsible for bringing their own PPE with them to their lessons,
-
Disposable face masks can be used but must be clean / new
-
Washable face coverings must be clean

I will also provide when its possible to obtain,
-
Steering wheel wrap
-
Gear selector cover
-
Disposable seat covers
-
Nitrate disposable gloves
Where these are used I will ask the student to remove them and take them to dispose off.

Potential contamination risk areas of the car will be wiped with a viral disinfectant between lessons including door handles, switches, seat belt and buckle, seat adjusters, etc
If you display any symptoms of COVID19 then you must inform me before your lesson so that the lesson can be rescheduled.
The guidelines state that If you have symptoms of coronavirus, self-isolate for 7 days.
After 7 days:

-
if you do not have a high temperature, you can stop self-isolating
-
if you still have a high temperature, keep self-isolating until your temperature returns to normal

Other basic rules to avoid the spread of COVID19 and other germs:
If you have been in close contact with or live with anyone who has Covid 19 or has been displaying signs then you should not attend your driving lesson.

The guidance states:
If you live with someone who has symptoms, self-isolate for 14 days from the day their symptoms started.
This is because it can take 14 days for symptoms to appear.
If more than 1 person at home has symptoms, self-isolate for 14 days from the day the first person started having symptoms.
-
If you get symptoms while self-isolating – you should self-isolate for 7 days from when your symptoms started, even if it means you're self-isolating for longer than 14 days.
-
If you do not get symptoms while self-isolating – you can stop self-isolating after 14 days.

We might have the windows open for ventilation
